***It is very important that you notify Surrounded by Security of any changes in your personal information such as a change in phone number or service carrier, name changes, new cell phone numbers, or new contacts to add to your call list. In the event of an alarm we need to have the most accurate and updated information possible. Please call the office with any changes toll free at 1-866-788-0998.
Using your keypad, first enter your old 4 digit code once, then press 802, then your new four digit code twice. The numbers must be entered quickly so that the change will take place and the new code MUST be 4 digits. Your alarm panel will make a beeping sound when you have successfully updated the code.
Secondary user codes are designed to allow another user, besides the homeowner, to arm and disarm the system without giving them access to your main, or master, code. You may decide to use this feature to assign codes to contractors, children, babysitters, house cleaners, etc. Secondary codes may be added or removed easily, and the homeowner can keep track of the secondary users' activity.
To add a new secondary user code enter your main code, then 803, then enter a new 4 digit code.
To delete the secondary user code enter your main code, then 803, then 0.
When you arm the system in STAY mode it is only securing the perimeter - doors and windows that have had contacts installed in them. In STAY mode, if a door or window is opened, the alarm will sound. When you arm the system in AWAY mode it activates the motion sensors as well as the perimeter doors and windows so that any motion inside the home in view of a motion sensor OR if any doors or windows are opened - it will set off the alarm.
This feature is called chime mode and can be turned on or off by entering your four digit code, then pressing 9 on the keypad. The word "chime" will appear on keypad screen when the chime is on and will disappear when you turn it off.
To change the volume you will press the # key and 2 to start and then press 3 to turn up the volume or 6 to turn down the volume. So for example if you want to turn the sound up you would press #2 and then 3 several times to make it louder.
In this case we will need to make a service call to replace the battery. Please call 1-800-207-1467 to schedule an appointment. If you prefer to change the battery yourself, we would be happy to guide you through this process over the phone.
Press the * button two times. The panel will then tell you which device has a low battery or it will give you a device number/zone number. If the panel states "system battery" is low, then a service technician will need to schedule an appointment to change the system battery.
Your alarm panel will beep to alert you when something needs your attention, and can happen for a number of reasons. To stop it, enter your four digit code and then press OFF. Then we highly reccomend that you call the office at 1-866-788-0998 (toll free) so that we can help you diagnose the problem that caused the beeping in the first place.
To change the time, put in your four digit code and press #63. Enter the two digit hour, then press the star key (*), then 1 for pm or 2 for am. Press star (*) again then enter the two digit minutes, and press star (*) again. Next enter the two digit month, press star (*), enter two digit day, press star (*), and then enter the two digit year and press star (*). The panel should beep and revert to a normal display with the new time and date.
